Athens is an extremely sweet 9-10yr old purebred chocolate Lab that was picked up by animal control and never reclaimed by her owner. She had several health issues initially which included Tick borne disease which was treated with antibiotics, skin infections, obesity, mamary tumors which were surgically removed and the pathology report came back as benign Lipoma tumor. She sadly had nails that were so long they were curled in on her pads and needed several nail trims to get them at a comfortable length.
This ol gal did not need to end her life in a cold scary shelter. She is now completely healthy, on a diet and a total love bug. She must know that she was rescued by how much she loves to be right next to her foster mom. She is enjoying the good life in her foster home. She loves to take her afternoon siesta but then is ready for a game of fetch or a romp around the yard with the younger dogs. She is potty trained and crates but doesn't need to be crated. She has no behavior issues and would love to find a loving home for the rest of her life.
