My name is Zoey.  I am super sweet, quiet and have these amazing eyes…   that is what they say about me lol.   I am a very happy petite girl who just wants a loving home.  I am so happy now that I am rescued from the shelter life.  I once had an owner and they did not take good care of me and left me in the scary shelter because they could not afford me.   Soon after I arrived I started having complications of heart worms and so the rescue vet was truly amazing and saved my life.  The rescues founder has a really nice chocolate Lab named Amber that helped save my life by donating her blood as I was quickly losing blood from my lungs and needed the help.  The rescue veterinary team has taken excellent care of me and now I am almost 100% healthy. I am a true example of how the rescue gives dogs like us a second chance to live a wonderful happy life.

I’ve learned cats are just cats and not really anything to get excited about and they’re not very fun to play with so I just ignore them and we all get along just fine.  I am potty and crate trained.  I am quiet as a mouse and gentle with everyone I meet.

I have never had these things called toys and really enjoy playing with them.  There are a few other dogs here and I enjoy hanging out with them as well. 

Best of all, I have learned that when I roll on my back, someone rubs my belly which I really like and I mean REALLY LIKE them. 

Speaking of belly rubs, I think I’m going to go get me one right now.

I love walks and adventures! I would really like to have a forever sister/brother to pal around with and some peeps to hang with…  but I am good being the only doggie just the same.
