Mission Statement

Our Mission

Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit all volunteer organization that is dedicated to saving unwanted, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs in Texas.  We provide all necessary medical care to each dog as needed.  They will live in private foster homes until adopted into a loving home where they will become a member of the family.  Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue promotes proper pet ownership, community educational programs as well as supporting spaying/neutering as a means to control unwanted pets.

Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue was founded by Robin Hamilton on December 7th, 2014. Robin became involved in rescue by becoming a foster home for Labrador Retrievers in 2008 then served on the board of directors in several roles.  Over the years realizing that her dog Allie Mae had a special connection with every foster dog that came through their home.  Robin fostered dogs that were scared, sick and injured as well as puppies and hospice dogs.  Allie Mae never met a stranger and loved to go to all public places to visit people and any dogs she may come across.  She earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate.  She had a special way of communicating with our foster dogs.

She would lay with the hospice dogs letting them know they were ok and show the ones that were afraid not to be anymore and that they were safe.  She enjoyed playing with the puppies and became their surrogate mom to many.

Allie Mae could also read people and knew when they were hurting or sad and had a way to put her head on your lap and you could instantly see her kind soul in her eyes.  She eased the pain of both humans and dogs alike.  Allie Mae was Robins unofficial emotional support dog when life got tough she was her rock.

Sadly Allie Mae developed bone cancer in August of 2014 and lost her battle on October 21st 2014.  This was the saddest day in the world for Robin but she found a way to honor Allie Mae by founding Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue.  A rescue that would give all dogs a chance at the life they always deserved.

Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue has rescued more then 600 deserving dogs since its formation in 2014.  We rescue approximately 200 dogs per year in the state of Texas.  We work hard to place them in the best possible homes and we love each and every dog that comes into our program as if they were our own dog.  We are proud of the work we do and know this is driven by passion and love for the animals.
